If you want to Study in the UK, find out if you require to Apply for a UK Student Visa for undergraduate and postgraduate studies, short courses and post-doctoral research.
Documents Required
You need to take a lot of documents for tourist visas compared to a Student Visa. You need compulsory documents with supporting documents of financial and academic records. Make sure you check this checklist before going to the Consulate for Visa Interview.
You should have the following documents before applying:
A completed student visa application form.
A letter of acceptance on the course – Your authorised education provider will give you an acceptance letter (CAS) and a visa letter which is official and unconditional proposal on a course of study. Visa letters should not be issued six months before application. In applications where the visa letter is more than six months old, they will be rejected.
The visa letter does not guarantee that the application will be successful. Applicants must meet all requirements of the category and any other requirements of immigration rules.
Proof of funds – The money you show includes the course fees of up to nine months for your first year’s study and living costs. The amount you will need depends on whether you are applying as a child or an adult and also whether you will be studying in or out of London. You have to show that you have kept the money for at least 28 days. The end of that 28-day period should not exceed one month from the date of your application.
