There are two IELTS tests available –

The total duration for the IELTS test is 2 hrs and 45 minutes and would be a computer-based exam as well as pen and paper-based.
Eligibility for Taking IELTS Proficiency Test

IELTS Band Score and How are they calculated?
IELTS scores are calculated between 0 to 9 Bands on a calibration of 0.5, for e.g. 6.5 or 7.0 bands. You’ll get bands for individual sections i.e. Listening, Writing, Reading, and Speaking. The overall band will be the average of all modules.

- If your overall score is an average of 7.25, your score will be increased to 7.5. As mentioned in the above example.
- If your overall score is an average of 6.75, your score will be increased to 7.

- Your score is rounded up or down to the nearest 0.5 or whole score as shown above.

There is no negative marking in IELTS, so attempt the full question paper and don’t leave any blanks.

What Is The Test Format For IELTS?
